About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the internal Comprehensive Solutions Account Executive within Trane Technologies’ Energy Services business
  • Drive financially and sustainability-driven solution-sales opportunities
  • Identify and qualify new business
  • Develop strategic customer relationships with public and private sector customers
  • Discover client business needs and align them with solutions
  • Evaluate projects and align processes and solutions
  • Work with clients on projects to confirm structured finance solutions
  • Develop financial pro formas and associated business cases with client executives
  • Convert leads into opportunities and assign sales processes and project team members
  • Understand macro-market and finance trends and inform current offerings and projects
  • Establish creative financial solutions that enhance or expand projects
  • Engage regional sales and leadership teams to develop and optimize strategies
  • Maintain market-oriented external relationships and Trane’s thought leadership position
  • Establish key indicators and develop tailored offerings with clients
  • Identify and close large deals and sales opportunities
  • Achieve quota targets and build, maintain, and grow a multi-million-dollar sales pipeline
  • Advise customers on financial drivers, legislation, and requirements for energy and outcome-based sales
  • Maintain relationships with regional Energy Services leaders and CSAEs
  • Support pipeline and project-size growth with structured finance approaches
  • Maintain a visible and active sales/project funnel using software tools
  • Collaborate with Project Development, Energy Engineering, and Project Management teams
  • Travel to customer job sites, including outdoor areas and mechanical/equipment rooms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree or 4–8 years of demonstrated executive selling experience preferred
  • 5+ years of executive sales experience, preferably within the MUSH market
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Documented success in financial sales with long, complex, multi-tiered sales cycles in public and/or private sectors
  • Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers
  • Expertise in financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Valid, in-state driver license with no major or frequent traffic violations
  • Driver license requirement within 1 year
  • May require additional drug screening for this safety-sensitive role
