About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead district sales for business sold through Equipment and Controls revenue streams
Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
Maximize account penetration and customer retention with contractor and consulting engineer/architect accounts
Manage customer and district sales, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, and market penetration
Hire and onboard new sales associates
Assess skills and administer necessary training
Set quotas and ensure accurate sales forecasting
Ensure consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems
Achieve annual objectives for profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share
Promote Trane Systems linkage Programs, including In-Warranty-Service Agreements and, when appropriate, Building Automation to Service
Assemble high-performance teams and work with Account Managers across varying business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios
Monitor and coach Account Managers on project attainment, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability
Investigate customer concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and the sales team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role
Valid in-state Driver License held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Safety-sensitive role may require passing additional drug screening
