About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist seasoned Service Technicians with installation and repair of environmental control systems
- Apply knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts
- Service products, equipment, and systems at customer locations to ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify, examine, diagnose, and plan equipment repairs
- Work with supervising field technicians, project managers, and customers to understand on-site installation requirements
- Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
- Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
- Enforce high safety standards
- Maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets
- Participate in the four-year nationally registered HVAC Technician Apprenticeship Program, including paid instruction and on-the-job training
- Progress toward promotion to HVAC Service Technician upon successful apprenticeship completion
Requirements
What you’ll need- No industry experience required
- Technical school certificates and/or formal HVAC training/experience are not required but may be considered when determining proficiency level and starting compensation
- Must be at least 18 years of age when starting
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license held for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations in the last 3 years
- Strong desire to learn a trade and directly impact the world around you
- Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
