About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC rental equipment at the Service Center
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues and complete corrective actions
  • Support equipment startup, commissioning, and operational testing before shipment and upon return
  • Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and movement of rental equipment within the Service Center
  • Support field installation, startup, and teardown of rental equipment at customer sites as needed
  • Work with team leaders, project managers, and operations teams to prioritize equipment readiness and customer demand
  • Document inspections, repairs, service activity, and equipment condition
  • Maintain accountability for company-issued tools, equipment, and Service Center assets
  • Follow safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements in shop and job site environments
  • Work overtime and occasional overnight travel based on business needs
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for 24-hour customer support and business requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC, or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Working proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • EPA Certification preferred
  • Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
  • Flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight travel
  • Participation in an on-call rotation providing 24-hour customer support is required
  • Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
