About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform detailed end-to-end water chemistry testing
  • Download programming and start up water treatment equipment
  • Commission and service assigned water treatment projects
  • Maintain water and equipment cleanliness within industry standards at customer locations
  • Serve as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers on water treatment, installation, and repair requirements
  • Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and correct problems
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems
  • Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
  • Work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain accountability for company-issued and procured assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC
  • Working knowledge of basic chemistry principles
  • Ability to determine subtle color changes in water samples during testing
  • Plumbing skills; PVC, some copper and black iron installation preferred
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Working proficiency with a handheld computer, such as a smartphone or iPad
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • Technical school or formal training preferred
