About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise Field Technicians performing start-up, commissioning, and servicing of water treatment equipment
- Perform end-to-end water chemistry testing
- Start up, commission, and service water treatment equipment on assigned projects
- Serve as the direct customer contact and maintain customer satisfaction
- Keep water and equipment clean and within industry standards at customer locations
- Coordinate with the Area Service Manager and customers to understand water treatment program requirements
- Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and correct problems
- Coordinate on-site installations and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work
- Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems
- Enforce safety standards
- Record the use, wear, and condition of company-issued and procured assets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in HVAC
- Working knowledge of basic chemistry principles
- Ability to determine subtle color changes in water samples during testing
- Plumbing skills; PVC, some copper and black iron installation is preferred
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g. Smartphone, iPad)
- Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays
- Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
