About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute enhancements to Aegon’s AWS Launchpad platform and related operational services
- Support Launchpad Platform onboarding for internal development teams
- Build production-ready Gen AI and Agentic AI solutions using Python and AWS AgentCore
- Translate complex problems into well-defined project requirements
- Lead AI development teams under supervision in delivering business transformation initiatives
- Apply software engineering best practices and follow Aegon’s Software Delivery Lifecycle
- Select appropriate AWS AI components and services to solve business problems
- Contribute to the evolution of AI governance and operational processes
- Share ideas and help drive AI adoption throughout Aegon
- Champion innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with software engineering teams and internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver effective solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
- 10+ years related experience, including at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in end-to-end AI solution design
- Professional certifications in AI and/or cloud technologies
- Strong proficiency in Python for production-ready delivery
- Deep understanding of the Gen AI landscape and agentic frameworks, including Strands SDK, LangChain, A2A, and MCP
- Experience across the full model lifecycle: planning, training, deploying, and maintaining AI systems
- Good knowledge of AWS AI infrastructure and AI services
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders to deliver AI solutions
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is unavailable
- Ability to work three days per week in one of the hub locations: Cedar Rapids, Denver, or Philadelphia
- Moderate travel to other offices
- Some work outside normal business hours may be required
