About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure investment results and supporting analysis are delivered to company leadership accurately, clearly, and on time
Align with internal stakeholders and external business partners to optimize quality and insight around results using data
Apply US GAAP and US Statutory accounting and reporting expertise with investment strategy knowledge
Own the single source of truth for investment results reporting and rationalize and simplify management reports
Manage and anticipate ad hoc requests related to investment asset and derivative positions and results
Navigate and manipulate data and systems quickly using hands-on expertise
Own and optimize the investment asset budget cycle end to end, including deliverables and stakeholder management
Lead multiple teams and projects across related functions
Provide leadership on resource prioritization, allocation, and employee performance assessment
Direct major change initiatives and ensure quality, timeline, and budget delivery
Serve as SOX process owner and ensure process and control accuracy and completeness
Oversee reporting errors and control deficiencies
Oversee Statement of Work contract language with external vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
12 years of accounting/finance experience, including eight years of management experience
Extensive knowledge of assigned business area, such as investments, premiums, or corporate finance
Strong leadership and people management skills
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to diverse audiences
Organizational and prioritization skills
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel, and financial business systems
Preferred: CPA, CFA, and/or MBA
Preferred: Investment data storage and manipulation experience, including Excel pivot tables, Power BI, and Hyperion Essbase Cubes
