About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide exceptional customer service and retirement plan administration support to TAG clients
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and shared email inbox
  • Conduct research, resolve issues, and deliver accurate, timely solutions
  • Support daily administration of retirement plans
  • Coordinate with the manager to research issues and negotiate problem resolution
  • Build proactive relationships with clients, financial professionals, and internal service teams
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and consistent information meeting quality metrics
  • Communicate possible improvements to management
  • Collaborate with internal partners to address client needs and maintain action plans
  • Consult on products, services, and capabilities to retain clients and resolve complex issues
  • Gather data from multiple systems to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Lead client meetings by conference call or face-to-face
  • Assist with mentoring new account managers
  • Attend training to obtain functional retirement plan knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent education/experience
  • Three years of customer relationship experience, including one year of retirement or financial services industry experience
  • Knowledge of daily administration of retirement plans
  • Excellent relationship management and ability to communicate with clients professionally, orally and in writing
  • Effective presentation, influence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to align behaviors and work to Transamerica’s Future Fit Culture
  • Proficiency using MS Office tools, including Excel
  • ASPPA designations (e.g. RPF, QKA) and/or related certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of internal systems (P3, Workplace Platform, AQT, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
