About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Extract financial data from various accounting and information systems
- Compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data
- Analyze financial data and bring issues to the appropriate person’s attention
- Determine appropriate methodology to prepare information for use by others
- Work alongside actuaries and accounting groups such as investments and company consolidation teams
- Interpret financial transactions and events for economic or business decision-makers
- Participate in assigned work, projects, and process enhancements
- Develop financial reports and models for forecasting, trending, and results analysis
- Troubleshoot problems using knowledge of information flows, financial systems, and reporting tools
- Apply fundamental concepts to moderately complex assignments with limited oversight
- Recommend changes to procedures
- Adhere to the company’s framework of internal controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience, with degree
- Advanced computer skills
- Working knowledge of financial area preferred, for example investments, insurance products, or premium
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- Willingness to learn new processes and new systems
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively individually and within a team
- Organizational and prioritization skills
