About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle monthly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Prepare journal entries, monitor suspense balances, and approve reconciliations
  • Maintain core accounting system integrity and data quality in accordance with accounting policy and procedures
  • Review daily activity and performance and answer questions regarding accounting results calculated by the system
  • Extract financial and attribute data from Clearwater Analytics to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues or discrepancies
  • Assist with regulatory financial reporting on a Statutory, IFRS, and/or US GAAP basis
  • Analyze financial data to explain past performance and project future results
  • Develop standardized and ad-hoc financial reports for senior leadership
  • Recommend process improvements, document business requirements, and participate in testing
  • Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal partners to identify and resolve needs
  • Participate in and/or lead project teams
  • Maintain positive, proactive relationships with internal customers
  • Adhere to the company’s framework of internal controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, with degree
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Working knowledge of financial area preferred, such as investments, insurance products, or premium
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Customer service approach
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively individually and within a team
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Occasional travel <10%
