About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with architects, data scientists, analytics teams, and business product owners in an agile environment
- Architect, build, and support cloud and on-premises enterprise data infrastructure and tools
- Design reusable and scalable data-driven solutions and data pipeline frameworks
- Automate ingestion, processing, and delivery of structured and unstructured batch and real-time streaming data
- Lead development of data APIs and data delivery services for operational processes, analytical models, and machine learning applications
- Recommend selection and integration of data tools, frameworks, and applications
- Recommend and implement enterprise data management best practices covering master data, reference data, metadata, data quality, and lineage
- Keep pace with advances in the field and learn new technologies to support the environment and project deliverables
- May manage or coach staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience
- Five years of collective experience in architecture, enterprise roadmaps, analytics, cloud, IT strategies, innovation, SAFE, TOGAF, and data integration concepts and methodologies
- Expertise using SQL for data profiling, analysis, and extraction
- Familiarity with data science techniques and frameworks
- Three years of experience in architecting, building, and administering complex architectures and technologies, including real-time streaming analytics architectures, in on-premises and cloud environments
- Three years of experience architecting, building, and administering large-scale distributed applications
- Three years of Linux operations and development experience, including CLI, basic commands, and shell scripting with PowerShell and Bash
- Three years of experience architecting scalable containerized applications with a container orchestration framework
- Three years of experience executing DevOps methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Attention to detail and results orientation with a strong customer focus
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Technical communication skills
- Prioritization skills to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Occasional travel of less than 10%
- Preferred: advanced analytics and machine learning, data analysis and visualization tools, big data and real-time streaming analytics, data lakes and data warehousing, ETL, Spark, Java, Python, Scala, Node.js, SQL, OpenAPI, REST, API security, and AWS or Microsoft certifications
