About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
  • Develop forecasts, scenario analyses, management reporting, and performance metrics
  • Maintain financial controls, governance, documentation, and compliance processes
  • Identify and implement process, automation, and reporting improvements
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for financial data, reporting tools, analytical methods, and FP&A processes
  • Contribute to Finance process engineering initiatives for planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management
  • Assess workflows, document requirements, and recommend scalable solutions
  • Coordinate transformation workstreams through design, testing, implementation, and adoption
  • Develop and support Finance data solutions, including AWS data lake environments and integrated reporting architectures
  • Develop and maintain scalable financial data models
  • Support data governance, lineage, reconciliation, and quality standards
  • Develop executive dashboards, management reporting, and self-service analytics using Power BI
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics
  • Promote data visualization, automation, and advanced reporting solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of financial analysis experience, including work in the insurance, financial services or investment management industry
  • Expert knowledge of accounting/finance
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate on business/market and legislative issues at a macro level
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to make timely decisions using appropriate information
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems
  • Preferred: CPA/advanced degree
  • Preferred: Extensive knowledge of assigned business area, such as investments, premiums, IFRS, or Statutory Accounting
