About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform and coordinate monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Analyze US GAAP results, capital considerations, operational KPIs, trends, variances, and emerging business drivers
  • Prepare leadership commentary and decision-useful insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, recurring reporting packages, and ad hoc analyses
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, Actuarial, Accounting, Capital, Risk, Data, and business units
  • Lead or support defined FP&A workstreams and coordinate contributors
  • Use Power BI and related analytics tools for governed reporting
  • Support financial data warehousing, aggregation, multi-source data integration, and management-information distribution
  • Contribute to finance platforms and data structures including Oracle and AWS environments
  • Design and sustain data flows, governance, controls, definitions, lineage, and quality standards
  • Support SOX-relevant processes and controls
  • Investigate reporting errors, reconciliations, data anomalies, and control deficiencies
  • Evaluate emerging capabilities including AI-enabled analytics
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, process documentation, and peer mentoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of financial analysis experience, including work in the insurance, financial services or investment management industry
  • Expert knowledge of accounting/finance
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strategic thinking and ability to communicate on business, market, and legislative issues at a macro level
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to make timely decisions using appropriate information
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel, and financial business systems
  • Preferred: experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated, capital-sensitive industry
  • Preferred: Power BI, financial data warehousing or aggregation, governed dashboards, and multi-source data integration
  • Preferred: AWS and modern finance or planning platforms such as Oracle
  • Preferred: finance transformation, platform implementation, process automation, data modernization, or scalable reporting design
  • Preferred: SOX processes and controls, control testing, deficiency assessment, root-cause analysis, and remediation tracking
  • Preferred: AI-enabled analytics or emerging technologies
  • CPA, MBA, or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, analytics, or related field preferred
