About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain robust software testing frameworks and standards
- Develop and document best practices, processes, and guidelines for automation, performance, and security testing
- Lead and mentor team members in adopting new testing tools, methodologies, and practices
- Conduct hands-on testing, including test case automation, execution, and defect tracking for complex distributed applications and microservices
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Serve as a subject matter expert in software testing
- Share testing knowledge through presentations, meetings, and day-to-day interactions
- Communicate technical concepts and test results to stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to ensure software testability and maintainability
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and improvement areas
- Participate in organization-wide committees or projects defining standards, processes, and guidelines
- Moderate travel of 10 to 25%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent experience
- Eight years of experience with database design techniques/philosophies, modern distributed applications, and microservices
- Technology or platform certifications (e.g. AWS, Microsoft)
- Expertise in coding platforms/frameworks (e.g. .NET/C#, JAVA, OOD, OOP)
- Five years of experience in testing frameworks and tools, including Selenium and Playwright
- Expertise in build and deployment tools including Visual Studio, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SQL Management Studio, NUnit, and Ajax
- Eight years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering, including automation and manual testing
- Experience with continuous integration/development tools including Jenkins, Docker, Containers, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container automation in a CI/CD pipeline
- Familiarity with modern UI development frameworks including Angular, React, Vue.js, ASP.NET MVC, HTTP, HTML, JS, CSS, and Ajax
- Advanced understanding of software development and research tools
- Attention to detail and results-oriented customer focus
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Technical communication skills and ability to present information to all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship
