About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate and proofread documents for a variety of clients
- Create and finalize translated end products before delivery to clients
- Translate from English into Irish
- Work in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface) specializations
- Collaborate with managers and Project Managers
- Meet translation needs of international clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Irish
- Specialization in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface)
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
- Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Applicants must complete free Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM tests
- One of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent degree including significant translation training) from a recognized higher education institution; 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
- Relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience to be included in CV
- Proposed Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading per-word rate in USD to be included in CV
