About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate and proofread documents for a variety of clients
- Create and finalize translated content before delivery to the client
- Translate English-language materials into Vietnamese
- Work on materials in the Legal and Insurance sectors
- Collaborate with managers and Project Managers
- Perform Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM work as applicable
Requirements
What you’ll need- Translate from English into Vietnamese
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese
- Specialized in Legal fields
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
- Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Applicants must complete free Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM tests
- One of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized higher-education institution; 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
- Relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience should be included in the CV
- Proposed best Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading per-word rate in USD should be included in the CV
- Vietnamese proficiency required
- English proficiency required
