About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate and proofread documents for a variety of clients
- Create and finalize translated end products before delivery to clients
- Translate from English into Vietnamese
- Work on technical-sector materials, including Information Technology, Electronics, and Manufacturing
- Collaborate with managers and Project Managers
- Meet the translation needs of international clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese
- Specialized in Technical fields, such as Information Technology, Electronics, or Manufacturing
- Acute attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
- Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Applicants must complete free Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM tests
- A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent degree including significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; OR
- 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; OR
- 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; OR
- A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
- CV must include relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience
- CV must include proposed Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading per-word rates in USD
