About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and category management strategies
- Drive value, mitigate risk, and optimise spend across key business categories
- Navigate complex supplier markets and shifting project priorities
- Identify innovative solutions for sustainable commercial delivery
- Foster relationships and collaborative delivery with cross-functional internal stakeholders, project leaders, and external suppliers
- Interrogate market trends, supplier performance, and spend analytics
- Deliver clear commercial insights to guide executive decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated experience leading strategic sourcing events, market go-to-market activities, or broader commercial deal-making
- Experience evaluating business requirements, scanning market options, and designing commercial structures
- Proven success driving commercial negotiations and structuring contracts, including Statements of Work, master services agreements, or partnership terms
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience securing favourable terms, creating value, protecting business interests, and managing delivery risk
- Strong track record in relationship building and collaborative delivery
- Experience partnering with cross-functional internal stakeholders to define sourcing requirements
- Experience managing external supplier relationships and ensuring commitments are delivered
- High AI and data literacy
- Critical thinking and ability to analyse spend profiles, cost models, and market intelligence
- Background in procurement, commercial management, business partnering, or project delivery
- Proactive problem-solving and adaptability
- Ability to navigate shifting project priorities and dynamic supplier markets
