  • Independently evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for conventional projects
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and acquire general knowledge of related fields
  • Apply sustainability concepts to engineering projects
  • Design complete projects, systems, components, or processes
  • Prepare specifications, drawings, and project documentation
  • Design and conduct site investigations; analyze and interpret survey data
  • Formulate and solve engineering problems using standard and adapted methods
  • Oversee moderate projects or contribute to parts of large-scale projects
  • Plan, execute, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Contribute to project meetings and present engineering assignments
  • Incorporate change management practices and commercial impact into design activities
  • Assign tasks to and direct junior project team members
  • Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate detailed engineering work
  • Mentor direct reports and less experienced staff; provide guidance and review work outputs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Higher Education (NVQ+)
  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience, including project design and coordination
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (desirable)
  • Membership of a Professional Engineering Institution (desirable)
  • CSCS Card or SHEA Water Qualification (desirable)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Qualification (desirable)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
