About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform engineering tasks and assist with project management throughout the project cycle, from initial forensics and schematics through construction
  • Perform analysis and design for new or existing structures
  • Prepare plans, specifications and bid documents
  • Conduct field work, including forensic evaluations on existing buildings
  • Write technical reports
  • Coordinate with clients, including architects, engineers, general contractors, property managers and condo associations
  • Perform construction administration, including shop drawing review, responding to contractor requests for information, field observations and pay application review
  • Work as part of a project team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance to ensure deliverables are on time and high quality
  • Balance internal team needs with client needs to produce successful project outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Master’s degree with structural emphasis is preferred
  • Must have passed the FE exam and hold EIT certification
  • 0-2 years of project engineering experience
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential for the success of this position
  • Working knowledge of engineering software such as STAAD, RISA, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE, Ram Structural System, Enercalc, AutoCAD and Revit a plus
  • Knowledge of façade materials
