About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own features across the full stack, from database schema and backend services to UI, design, deployment, and operations
Pair with engineers, designers, and product managers to ship features every cycle
Participate in design and code discussions and make product and technical trade-offs
Maintain automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
Improve observability with metrics, dashboards, and alerts using Datadog, Sentry, and web vitals
Design and build Java and Spring Boot backend services and APIs, including RabbitMQ event-driven flows
Own services end-to-end with a DevOps mindset
Instrument work, measure impact, and use data to guide decisions
Collaborate through the Engineering Guild to share ideas and improve standards
Lead technical discussions across features, architecture, and UX
Work across legacy Backbone systems and modern React/TypeScript code
Build internal tools for operations and support teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of software development experience
Strong focus on modern web frontend and hands-on experience building backend services
Experience with React and TypeScript, including legacy Backbone/Node/Express/EJS integration
Experience with Java and Spring Boot
Experience with event-driven flows using RabbitMQ
Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Sentry, and web vitals
Experience with databases including PostgreSQL and MS-SQL
Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and AWS
DevOps mindset, domain-driven design, and event-driven architecture knowledge
Active use of AI tools in daily development workflow
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to work with remote and co-located teams
Structured, analytical, and highly collaborative approach
