About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Further develop the Data & AI roadmap and translate it into concrete initiatives, MVPs, and scalable solutions
  • Analyze data assets, assess their value, and develop data architectures
  • Consider data access, permissions, governance, and security in a multi-tenant environment
  • Design and implement AI solutions together with internal stakeholders and technology partners
  • Evaluate technologies, solution approaches, and vendors
  • Assess use cases with the group companies and provide guidance during implementation
  • Make successful local solutions available for use across the group
  • Support projects through to production deployment
  • Measure business value and derive recommendations for scaling and further investment
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT and external technology partners from strategy through to production deployment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Experience co-designing and practically implementing Data or AI solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Understanding of data architectures, APIs, and permission models
  • Understanding of AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, and AI agents
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Experience with AI, cloud, and data platforms
  • Foundational knowledge of AI governance, data protection, and information security
  • Ability to evaluate technical approaches and vendors thoroughly and objectively
  • Confident communication skills in German, at least C1 level
  • Confident communication skills in English, at least B2 level
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Germany
  • Preferred: Experience with Azure, complex multi-tenant environments, and scaling AI solutions across multiple organizational units
