About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Track project finances, including approving invoices, work hours, quantities, and completing monthly WIPs
  • Attend preconstruction, kick-off, and pre-bid meetings
  • Determine project scope and required estimate contents from specifications and drawings
  • Gather quotes, print drawings, perform counts and take-offs, and respond to RFIs and RFQs
  • Interact professionally with customers, trades, general contractors, and internal staff
  • Provide Construction Services with up-to-date CAD drawings
  • Assist with shop drawings and the submittal process
  • Maintain status of quoted items, subcontractors, equipment purchase orders, estimates, and project schedules
  • Complete paperwork and reports, including weekly reports
  • Prepare full-size and half-size prints for Project Managers, Field Foremen, and Construction Services
  • Coordinate with other divisions as needed
  • Assist with project closeout, including warranty information, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals
  • Coordinate manpower needs with field supervision
  • Track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Understand contract terms and risk management
  • Schedule manpower and subcontractors using Microsoft Project or similar
  • Manage multiple projects
  • Travel as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Construction, Construction Management, or a combination of experience and education
  • Previous experience in large-scale, fast-paced construction projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Solid communication skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Positive initiative and judgment
  • Ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multitask with tact and consideration
  • Successful drug screen required
  • Reference check required
