About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and own the operational side of Tribe's people function
- Own Rippling as the source of truth and build integrations and automations with Ashby, internal tools, MCP, and AI integrations
- Audit and continuously optimize people systems and processes
- Build and own reporting and people data
- Own offer generation and sending from approval through signature
- Own onboarding, including backend automation and the new-hire experience
- Own offboarding, employment changes, leaves of absence, and time-off requests
- Maintain accurate people data and ensure it flows cleanly to cross-functional partners
- Own benefits administration, including enrollment, renewals, carrier relationships, and evolving the approach as the company scales
- Own state registrations, payroll tax and unemployment registrations, compliance, and record-keeping
- Run immigration and work authorization alongside outside counsel
- Create and manage policy
- Serve as the first stop for HR questions, resolving or routing them appropriately
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 7+ years owning HR operations and systems end to end at a rapidly scaling company
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Rippling implementation and optimization
- Proven experience building automation and integrations
- Benefits administration experience across PEO, EOR, and in-house models, including transition experience between them
- Experience with multi-state and international compliance
- Experience with work authorization
- Experience creating and managing policy
- Fluent with AI tools, with real examples of automations or workflows built
- Strategic, systems-minded approach with willingness to perform the work directly
- Close partnership and collaboration skills
- Compensation experience, including bands, benchmarking data, and cycle mechanics (nice to have)
- Experience with Ashby (nice to have)
- Experience building MCP or API-based integrations (nice to have)
