About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage product, documentation, and payment flows for physical trades
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, freight providers, and internal teams
Plan and coordinate vessel and container loading and discharge operations
Work with ship brokers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers
Assess transportation options, prior cargoes, tank conditions, and materials of construction for safe carriage and customer-specification compliance
Manage import and export customs processes
Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time
Maintain accurate trade and shipment data in the ERP system according to company policies
Coordinate with Finance, Credit, Compliance, and other internal teams
Negotiate rates and service terms with logistics, freight, and inspection service providers
Communicate shipment status and operational details with local and international teams
Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers
Support smooth execution of bulk and containerized trades
Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, trade operations, or physical commodity movements preferred
Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and international trade processes preferred
Experience working with ERP systems preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Fluency in English; French is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
Proactive and self-motivated
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Practical, solution-oriented approach
