Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support training of Soldiers and units using Command and Control Information Systems such as CPCE and MMC-S
  • Support simulation systems such as JDLM and WARSIM
  • Install and configure routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure network efficiency
  • Collaborate with network engineers and other IT professionals to optimize network performance
  • Maintain network security protocols and ensure data protection
  • Document network configurations and updates
  • Plan, design, and implement LAN/WAN data connectivity
  • Conduct network wiring plans and LAN/WAN hardware or software purchases
  • Perform system installation, backup, maintenance, problem-solving, and network or remote connectivity support
  • Evaluate technical feasibility of proposed system solutions
  • Maintain network user documentation, support logs, and related information
  • Research and recommend network and server hardware/software solutions for large complex networks
  • Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate hardware, software, and network problems
  • Implement network support and archiving procedures, policies, procedures, standards, and security controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of two years of related experience, or minimum of five years of related experience
  • Experience with network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem solving, network and remote connectivity hardware/software support
  • Experience researching and recommending network and server hardware/software for large complex networks
  • Experience installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware and software
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have a current Secret security clearance
  • Travel up to 50%
