About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a project team of engineers, designers, and field personnel in designing, modifying, analyzing, and assessing constructability of utility systems for large-scale transportation projects
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve engineering and construction-related issues
- Coordinate utility relocation efforts for Federal, State, and Local agencies or utility infrastructure owners
- Lead detailed utility engineering design phases, including scope, cost, and schedule control
- Prepare, host, and track action items from project progress meetings
- Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants and clients
- Ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports and studies meeting client requirements
- Independently review others' calculations and drawing preparation
- Take ownership of utility engineering projects from start to finish
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree
- Professional Engineering License
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the transportation utility engineering, design or construction related fields
- Ability to manage engineering, design or construction projects
- Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation
- Some experience in Open Roads Designer is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
