About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and practices to perform sequences of related technical tasks
  • Conduct routine analyses and testing, preparing summaries and reports for review by senior staff
  • Participate in field activities, including site visits and construction inspections
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data logs from job sites and client locations
  • Analyze laboratory data and compose detailed reports that summarize findings
  • Perform calculations, develop input for plans and specifications, and compile historical records
  • Present technical information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Refer complex or non-routine technical issues to more experienced staff for guidance and resolution
  • Participate in studies, analyses, and data collection under senior supervision to build broader experience
  • Work under the mentorship of experienced senior staff on water resources engineering projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering
  • Basic proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software or introductory-level experience
  • Strong reasoning and analytical ability
  • Ability to write clear, professional reports and correspondence
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, especially in technical settings
  • EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification or active pursuit of the credential
  • Hands-on experience with Civil 3D (AutoCAD) or similar design software
  • Familiarity with water resources analysis and modeling
  • Experience in field-based engineering work or site inspections
  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position
