About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply standard engineering techniques and practices to perform sequences of related technical tasks
- Conduct routine analyses and testing, preparing summaries and reports for review by senior staff
- Participate in field activities, including site visits and construction inspections
- Maintain accurate documentation and data logs from job sites and client locations
- Analyze laboratory data and compose detailed reports summarizing findings
- Perform calculations, develop input for plans and specifications, and compile historical records
- Present technical information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings
- Refer complex or non-routine technical issues to more experienced staff
- Participate in studies, analyses, and data collection under senior supervision
- Work on water resources engineering projects involving design analysis, site inspections, and technical documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering
- Basic proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software or introductory-level experience
- Strong reasoning and analytical ability
- Ability to write clear, professional reports and correspondence
- Effective communication and presentation skills, especially in technical settings
- EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification or active pursuit of the credential
- Hands-on experience with Civil 3D (AutoCAD) or similar design software
- Familiarity with water resources analysis and modeling
- Experience in field-based engineering work or site inspections
- Detail-oriented problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively with senior engineers
