About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement Salesforce security and access control strategies
- Configure profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and security policies
- Manage user access, authentication, authorization, and identity integrations
- Develop and maintain Salesforce security models for applications and data
- Monitor security controls and identify potential vulnerabilities or access issues
- Support data protection, encryption, and secure data management practices
- Conduct security reviews and assessments of Salesforce configurations and solutions
- Collaborate with Architects, Developers, and Administrators to implement secure solutions
- Support security testing, audits, compliance activities, and remediation efforts
- Document security configurations, standards, procedures, and controls
- Stay current with Salesforce security features, best practices, and platform updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce security or enterprise application security
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security architecture and access controls
- Experience with profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, groups, and organization-wide defaults
- Experience with Salesforce authentication and identity solutions, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, and MFA
- Understanding of data encryption, security monitoring, and secure integration practices
- Experience conducting security assessments and resolving security findings
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security principles
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Salesforce Identity and Access Management Architect or Sharing and Visibility Architect certification preferred
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred
- Experience with Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, Platform Encryption, and Field Audit Trail preferred
- Experience with identity providers and enterprise IAM platforms preferred
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and AWS or Azure environments preferred
- Experience with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and audit processes preferred
- Experience in DevSecOps and secure software development practices preferred
- Experience securing complex enterprise Salesforce environments preferred
- Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, Alabama, Colorado, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia
