About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage commercial client accounts day to day, coordinating services, answering questions and resolving problems
  • Manage retention of new and renewal clients while maintaining high service standards
  • Maintain relationships with insurance companies/MGAs to negotiate and obtain quotes, binders and endorsements
  • Manage an established book of accounts and negotiate renewals for existing customers
  • Partner with producers and Triumph sales teams to support business development and understand client/prospect needs
  • Submit coverage specifications and obtain quotes from potential carriers for new and renewal business
  • Determine appropriate client service support and respond to client and carrier inquiries
  • Execute proactive and ongoing client contact initiatives
  • Enter and maintain accounts and policies in AMS360, maintain a current suspense, and review policies and endorsements for accuracy
  • Ensure insurance policy terms and conditions are properly prepared and provide the coverage presented to the insured
  • Communicate subjectivities and exclusions and document differences in policy forms when comparing quotes
  • Identify coverage gaps and cross-selling opportunities; recommend and implement appropriate coverage
  • Supervise Client Services Representatives and provide guidance to less experienced Account Managers and support staff
  • Perform back-office operations and administration
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Up to 5 years of recent Commercial Lines Account Management experience
  • Transportation experience required
  • Demonstrated success in overall customer service
  • High School diploma; undergraduate degree preferred
  • Appropriate insurance agent’s license required
  • Professional designation (CPCU/CIC/ACSR/CISR) preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • AMS360 software proficiency preferred
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels
  • High level of organization
  • High degree of self-discipline and motivation
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures and help develop new processes and procedures
  • Solution driven problem solving skills and proven analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, applying education and professional experience
  • Technical and cognitive abilities to ensure accuracy, precision and complete projects on time and on budget
  • Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment with ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English a plus
