About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and monitor production schedules, inventory reports, job orders and purchase orders to determine material quantities needed for production
  • Expedite movement of materials and parts between purchasing, receiving, stock and production areas
  • Facilitate material flow between departments to meet production schedules and order priorities
  • Communicate material status and expedite rush or overdue materials
  • Provide materials status at production meetings
  • Escalate existing or potential shortages to management
  • Reconcile discrepancies in received materials, including quantity errors and damaged parts
  • Compile and maintain material, parts, inventory and production records manually or using a computer
  • Confer with department supervision and planning regarding overdue and due material parts
  • Coordinate material transfers from stock areas to production areas
  • Verify materials received, part numbers and discrepancies when needed
  • Compare work ticket specifications with materials used at workstations when needed
  • Check with internal departments and buyers to ensure delivery on agreed dates
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and Word functionality
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Very detail oriented
  • High level of organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work with associates at a variety of levels within a manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills required
  • Logic skills to solve problems of a systemic nature
  • Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of expediting/planning in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted; team lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident and/or otherwise comply with ITAR requirements for access rights
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
