About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance of CNC Lathes in the Lathe Department.
  • Produce high-quality products according to the Triumph Gear Systems Lathe department operations manual.
  • Read, interpret, and apply information from engineering drawings.
  • Adhere to job plans per job travelers.
  • Set up multiple types of jobs with fixtures.
  • Use precision measurement equipment.
  • Install and maintain cutting tools.
  • Consistently produce quality parts.
  • Apply familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with EHS policy training and instructions, maintain a safe and clean working environment, use provided PPE, and report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous situations to management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary CNC related certificate or degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Lathe operations.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • For applicable positions involving US export-controlled technology, materials, software or hardware: must be a US Person under ITAR or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license.
