About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and perform basic maintenance on CNC lathes in the Lathe Department.
- Produce high-quality products according to the Triumph Gear Systems Lathe department operations manual.
- Read, interpret, and apply information from engineering drawings.
- Adhere to job plans per job travelers.
- Set up multiple types of jobs with fixtures.
- Use precision measurement equipment.
- Install and maintain cutting tools.
- Consistently produce quality parts.
- Apply familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Comply with EHS policies, training, instructions, and PPE requirements.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous situations to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary CNC related certificate or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Lathe operations.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- For applicable US positions subject to ITAR/EAR, must be a US Person or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license.
