About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mentor Manufacturing Engineers and provide feedback on performance and quality of work
- Assign team members work supporting Operations and Engineering needs
- Confer with equipment vendors
- Facilitate R&D activity between Engineering and Manufacturing
- Lead production planning, layout, organizational setup, progress reporting, and departmental coordination for assigned projects
- Provide technical oversight across projects using emerging technologies, innovation, and creativity
- Collaborate with production operators, supervisors, and functional teams to improve product flow and quality
- Plan manufacturing capacity and capabilities
- Design test methods, test finished products and process capabilities, establish standards, and confirm manufacturing processes
- Provide manufacturing engineering information and resolve questions and requests
- Train and guide technicians
- Examine Engineering drawings to verify buildability before production
- Design and develop manufacturing tools
- Create and improve Assembly Test Instructions with pictorial SolidWorks CAD images
- Complete customer PPAP support, documentation, creation, and submission
- Create and monitor PFMEA
- Guide manufacturing planning methods and best practices
- Process jobs through engineering and support manufacturing of new parts through production
- Identify and implement process improvements with staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
- 5+ years of aerospace, agriculture, or automotive experience in Hydraulic/Electromechanical Actuation Systems
- Manufacturing background
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
- Experience with manufacturing methods and procedures, manufacturing quality, product development, hardware specifications, and technical presentations
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- For applicable US export-controlled positions, must be a US Person under ITAR or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license
