About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee daily operational performance, battle cards, action plans, and key KPIs across assigned clients
  • Serve as the primary senior operational point of contact for clients
  • Translate client needs, issues, and requests into prioritized operational actions and execution plans
  • Identify operational risks and performance trends and guide corrective actions
  • Ensure accurate reporting, consolidated performance insights, and clear status updates
  • Lead operational work for domestic clients across assigned accounts
  • Review dashboards and performance data to identify trends, risks, and deficiencies
  • Lead corrective action plans to improve outcomes
  • Drive operational efficiency and reimbursement optimization through standardization, workflow alignment, issue triage, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ensure consistent execution standards across teams and client portfolios
  • Maintain trusted relationships with client operational stakeholders
  • Own and escalate significant operational risks with timelines and mitigation plans
  • Partner with operations, finance, payer relations, technology, and strategic client management teams
  • Ensure execution aligns with contracts, billing standards, and service-level commitments
  • Maintain knowledge of hospital billing systems, government payer programs, reimbursement policies, and regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and client information
  • Attend required meetings and stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Oversee customer invoicing accuracy and support monthly invoicing processes
  • Recruit, screen, and select candidates
  • Orient new hires and ensure appropriate hiring plans
  • Administer performance management, feedback, and reviews
  • Maintain current job descriptions and accurate staff records
  • Support organizational development and training programs
  • Mentor, guide, and coach direct reports
  • Communicate corporate matters and administer internal policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in hospital revenue cycle operations, with demonstrated leadership responsibility across billing and collections functions
  • 5+ years of manager experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of insurance regulations, reimbursement practices, coding interfaces, and automated billing workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex issue resolution, systemic root-cause analysis, and multi-team corrective actions
  • Strong executive-level communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Comfort interpreting multi-source reporting
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Preferred: 5+ years Medicare hospital billing experience and demonstrated expertise with government payers
  • Preferred: Experience supporting multiple hospital billing platforms and/or EHR/RCM systems (e.g., Thrive, Epic, Cerner)
  • Preferred: Advanced revenue cycle analytics experience, including KPI governance, trend analysis, and executive reporting
  • Preferred: Prior experience in senior operational leadership, client escalations, service recovery, and cross-functional governance
  • Preferred: Experience overseeing invoicing processes, contract compliance validation, and operational performance frameworks
