About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a designated book of clients, managing their insurance needs with minimal oversight
- Lead the renewal and remarketing process, coordinating with carriers to secure optimal coverage and pricing
- Provide consultative guidance to clients on coverage gaps, policy structures, and strategic insurance decisions
- Oversee onboarding of new accounts, including collection and analysis of underwriting data
- Troubleshoot complex client issues, working with underwriters and internal teams to resolve problems efficiently
- Manage endorsements, claims inquiries, audits, and other service items with high attention to detail
- Utilize AMS360 to maintain comprehensive, accurate client records and document all servicing activities
- Mentor or support more junior account team members as needed
- Stay informed on industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes impacting clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of experience in insurance account management, preferably in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health lines
- Proven ability to manage a book of business and build long-term client relationships
- Strong understanding of carrier underwriting guidelines and coverage forms
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in AMS360 or comparable agency management systems
- Active insurance license(s) in applicable lines (P&C and/or L&H) required
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
