About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead assigned construction projects from mobilization through closeout
  • Coordinate scope, schedules, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities
  • Review project plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and site conditions
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans
  • Monitor progress, identify delays, and coordinate corrective actions to meet milestones
  • Direct and support Superintendents, Foremen, Site Leads, and field personnel
  • Establish responsibilities and monitor productivity and performance
  • Monitor project budgets, labor hours, equipment costs, and material expenses
  • Report variances and recommend cost-control actions to support profitability
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Communicate with clients, site leadership, and management regarding progress, staffing, risks, and issues
  • Identify scope changes, document schedule and cost impacts, and obtain approvals
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and client site rules
  • Coordinate safety meetings, inspections, and hazard and incident reporting
  • Conduct site walkthroughs to verify work quality and compliance
  • Coordinate correction of deficiencies and completion of punch lists
  • Maintain project records, including daily reports, schedules, labor tracking, deliveries, change documentation, and closeout records
  • Partner with HR and field leadership on staffing, onboarding, performance feedback, attendance, employee relations, and timekeeping
  • Resolve project obstacles and escalate issues requiring management approval
  • Coordinate final inspections, client acceptance, demobilization, project handoff, and closeout documentation
  • Travel to assigned project locations throughout the United States and remain away from home for extended periods
  • Work flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, and overtime based on project needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 to 5 years of construction project experience, including supervising crews or coordinating project execution
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules
  • Experience managing project priorities, labor resources, budgets, and documentation
  • OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain certification within two months of hire
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and personnel at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to learn company project management and timekeeping systems
  • Ability to meet travel, scheduling, and essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Preferred: experience with commercial construction, warehouse or distribution facility projects, or installation work in active facilities
  • Preferred: experience coordinating subcontractors, multiple trades, and projects with demanding schedules
  • Preferred: degree or coursework in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Preferred: experience with change orders, cost forecasting, client reporting, and project closeout
  • Frequent walking and standing during site inspections may be required
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and access work areas using stairs or ladders as required
  • Occasional ability to lift, push, or carry materials or equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Required personal protective equipment must be worn
  • Equipment operation requires appropriate training, certification, and authorization when assigned
