Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and implement enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware domains
  • Apply automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques to ensure high availability and infrastructure performance
  • Manage infrastructure engineering projects and processes aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and improve infrastructure standards and processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting infrastructure performance and reliability
  • Support compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence
  • Review and guide infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures for operational consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to lower-level technical professionals
  • Develop technical solutions through deep infrastructure analysis and lead infrastructure processes
  • Build reusable automation frameworks, golden-path templates, workflows, and scalable automation solutions
  • Integrate agentic AI, intelligent automation, event-driven architectures, and self-healing operational patterns
  • Implement deep observability practices and use telemetry to improve platform reliability, security, compliance, and developer experience
  • Operate and continuously enhance enterprise automation, CI/CD, and AI-enabled development platforms including GitLab SaaS, Ansible Automation Platform, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and related DevSecOps tooling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware
  • Must be located in or willing to self-relocate to Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA
  • Must be authorized to work without employer sponsorship; Truist will not sponsor work visa status or employment authorization
  • English language fluency required
  • Strong proficiency with Ansible Automation Platform, including YAML/Jinja2 playbook authoring, RBAC, automation mesh, credential management, and Event-Driven Ansible
  • Experience building AI-assisted remediation workflows and GenAI-integrated automation patterns
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, pipeline template design, runner configuration, protected branch enforcement, and SAST/SCA/secrets scan gate management
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory repository administration, tagging policies, artifact promotion workflows, and SonarQube quality gates
  • Understanding of REST APIs, Git-based source control workflows, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong Python and Bash scripting skills
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and AI-assisted code generation patterns
  • Expertise with OpenTelemetry, including custom instrumentation, collector configuration, and observability pipeline design
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security hardening, RBAC design, and system performance tuning
  • Bachelor’s degree and six or more years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevSecOps, or equivalent combination listed as preferred
  • Experience with OPA and policy-as-code patterns
  • Infrastructure-as-code competency in Terraform or equivalent, with deployment experience in Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience in regulated financial services, healthcare, or government environments preferred
  • Ability to operate with high ownership and make progress without fully defined requirements
  • Ability to communicate technical complexity in plain language and engage executive and technical audiences
  • Comfortable operating with legacy technologies, modernization efforts, and emerging capabilities
