About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Fair Lending and Fair Banking compliance oversight across consumer lending products, services, and business units
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, Audit, Analytics, Forensic File Review, and business stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate Fair Lending risk
  • Support complaint reviews and risk assessments
  • Review regulatory changes and assess their impact on assigned business units and functions
  • Support regulatory change management activities
  • Manage compliance risk management communications, training, documentation, procedures, and processes
  • Monitor and communicate compliance risk management industry developments
  • Implement compliance risk management framework strategies and methods
  • Support quality assessments, key risk and performance measurement data, oversight monitoring, and mitigation strategies
  • Assess process, procedure, control, and compliance documentation
  • Consult with business and functional units on remediation efforts
  • Support compliance monitoring, reporting, governance processes, model review activities, and advisory work
  • Promote a culture of compliance and risk management and support issue remediation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Two years of compliance-related experience
  • Five years of financial institution experience
  • Working knowledge of standard compliance concepts, practices, policies, and related state and federal laws
  • Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced compliance consultants and analysts
  • English language fluency required
  • Preferred: Master's degree
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in the financial services industry within audit or compliance
  • Preferred: Prior supervisory or management experience
  • Preferred: Completion of the American Bankers Association (ABA) Compliance School or CRCM certification
