About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute the technology vision, strategy, and modernization roadmap for the real estate lending business
- Lead global teams across engineering, architecture, product management, data, quality engineering, platform operations, and production support
- Drive adoption of a product-centric operating model aligned with business outcomes
- Partner with business, operations, risk, compliance, and finance leaders
- Modernize legacy platforms and accelerate cloud and API adoption
- Apply AI capabilities to improve efficiency, underwriting, servicing, risk management, and customer experience
- Oversee data strategy, technology portfolio economics, vendor management, cybersecurity, platform resilience, and regulatory compliance
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, operational excellence, and measurable business value
- Lead technology teams specializing in engineering, infrastructure, architecture, security, operations, or analytics
- Develop and implement short- to mid-term operational plans aligned with enterprise technology strategies
- Enhance processes, systems, and platforms to improve performance
- Solve complex multi-team problems through investigation, analysis, and interpretation of data and technical landscapes
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and influence modernization or optimization decisions
- Lead workforce planning, talent development, and performance management
- Steward job-area budgets and operational costs
- Ensure compliance with technology governance, risk, and security policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in technology operations
- Broad leadership and management experience leading complex technology operations teams
- Proven ability to manage complex operational initiatives across multiple teams
- English language fluency required
- Preferred: Extensive leadership experience in real estate lending technology or related secured lending environment
- Preferred: Knowledge of real estate lending products, platforms, and ecosystems across the full lending lifecycle
- Preferred: Experience modernizing legacy technology environments through cloud adoption, platform simplification, automation, and digital transformation
- Preferred: Experience leading product-centric organizations and multidisciplinary teams
- Preferred: Experience managing large technology portfolios, investment prioritization, business cases, vendor relationships, and total cost of ownership
- Preferred: Expertise in AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation
- Preferred: Understanding of responsible AI practices in regulated environments
- Preferred: Understanding of data architecture, governance, privacy, quality, lineage, and analytics
- Preferred: Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
- Preferred: Executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
