About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with Investment Managers and the Investment Advisory Group to deliver Investment Management Services to Truist Wealth clients
  • Assist Investment Managers in acquiring prospective clients through analysis of complex outside portfolios and presentation preparation
  • Propose, construct, and monitor client-specific, advice-driven investment strategies and solutions
  • Make proactive recommendations to Investment Managers and/or clients
  • Participate in daily trading activities for discretionary, non-discretionary, and trust-based portfolios
  • Adhere to and document compliance with Truist, SunTrust Advisory Services, and relevant regulatory policies and procedures
  • Monitor client portfolios relative to investment policy statements and identify and address variances
  • Assist with client onboarding and develop Investment Policy Statements
  • Develop investment recommendations and transition new clients into ongoing portfolio management and communication cycles
  • Prepare regular investment reviews and recommend, establish, monitor, and adjust investment strategies
  • Attend client meetings, participate in presentations, and interact with Truist wealth teammates
  • Actively engage in risk management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • Series 65 licenses; candidates have 60 days from their Start Date to transfer, or 100 days from their Start Date to acquire all registrations and licenses required for the position
  • Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of finance and investment theory
  • Presentation skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • 2+ years of investment management, trading, or related experience
  • Ability to work on complex projects with minimal supervision
  • English language fluency required
  • CFA certification or progress towards CFA preferred
  • MBA or progress towards MBA preferred
  • Additional professional designations such as CFP®, CIMA, or CAIA preferred
