About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform data center physical infrastructure planning and design for equipment placement
Design physical locations for compute and storage infrastructure based on row, cabinet, and cabinet-U placement strategies
Evaluate power capabilities, cooling needs, network port requirements, cabling infrastructure, and structured cabling alignment
Communicate with facilities teams and hardware owners to understand and validate network, power, and cooling requirements
Use Nlyte DCIM for planning, asset inventory management, and interface details
Plan complex device installations within the data center
Assist with data center layouts, cabling infrastructure, and power distribution
Support IT Data Center Security Policy and IT Architecture
Collaborate with Data Center Services teammates and other technology teams
Coordinate project activities for the Data Center Services Team
Develop and maintain documentation for supported IT Enterprise Infrastructure, including DCIM updates and support
Maintain knowledge of facilities management and technology within the supported IT Enterprise Infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent education, related training, and work-related experience
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering
Understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware
English language fluency required
Must be able to work in the office 5 days a week
Must not require work visa sponsorship, employment authorization sponsorship, or immigration-related support
Preferred: Banking or financial services experience
Preferred: Extensive working knowledge of ServiceNow, especially CMDB
Preferred: Strong understanding of structured cabling standards and best practices, including BICSI RCDD certification or equivalent
Preferred: Knowledge of data flow, mainframe/client server software, problem analysis, and performance enhancement
Preferred: Understanding of project management
Preferred: Understanding of network interfaces and technologies
Preferred: Understanding of infrastructure cabling concepts and best practices
Preferred: Understanding of blade server technology and concepts
Preferred: Understanding of DCIM tools, including Nlyte software
Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: Experience working with engineering, operations, business teams, and vendors
Preferred: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
