About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Underwrite, manage, and monitor a portfolio of commercial and not-for-profit credit relationships
  • Lead end-to-end underwriting for new and existing credit relationships
  • Analyze financial performance, cash flow, debt capacity, risks, and industry trends
  • Develop and present independent credit recommendations
  • Structure credit facilities and coordinate due diligence
  • Ensure compliance with credit policy, regulatory standards, and bank policies
  • Monitor portfolio performance, trends, risk ratings, annual reviews, financial statement spreading, covenant compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage amendments, waivers, renewals, and modifications
  • Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk Officers, Analysts, Coverage, Credit Risk, Product, Fulfillment, and Operations teams
  • Mentor junior teammates and drive operational excellence through process improvements, support resources, and technology
  • Support client relationships and deliver service to clients and business partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of commercial credit underwriting, portfolio management, commercial banking, or related financial services experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit products, credit analysis, loan structuring, covenant analysis and risk management principles
  • Experience analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and credit structures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • English language fluency required
