About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the RCSA framework and associated assessment unit changes to operational processes, risks and controls across all business units
  • Support the development and maturation of enterprise risk programs in alignment with regulatory expectations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Enterprise and Operational risk management programs
  • Provide effective challenge to program updates and changes
  • Participate in applicable risk-program working groups
  • Communicate, train and monitor business partners and business risk teammates regarding risk-program changes
  • Provide coaching and share best practices for effective execution
  • Act as a conduit between first-line teammates and second-line risk program owners and partners
  • Deliver and influence recommendations for updates to relevant policies and procedures
  • Establish working relationships with line-of-business leaders and second- and third-line risk partners
  • Participate in discussions with first-, second- and third-line risk leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience
  • 4+ years of risk management experience in business continuity or related field, and/or equivalent education, training and experience
  • Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, multi-task, and drive change
  • Strong quantitative, governance, and analytic abilities
  • Ability to provide effective challenge to senior levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
  • Approximately five weeks of travel annually, generally one week at a time, to various locations within the Truist footprint
  • Regular employee status; benefits eligibility applies to regular teammates working 20 hours or more per week
  • English language fluency required
