About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone
  • Develop and expand new and existing client relationships
  • Provide financial solutions based on consultative conversations
  • Refer clients to other business partners for additional business growth opportunities
  • Perform required teller duties as needed after cross-training
  • Handle routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services
  • Meet or exceed client service and individual and branch sales targets
  • Conduct consultative conversations and refer complex client needs and financial goals to internal specialists
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines
  • Attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning
  • Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications
  • Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies
  • Engage clients courteously while conducting transactions and identifying needs
  • Share responsibility for greeting clients and helping them navigate within the branch

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including applicable NMLS registration and background check requirements
  • Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included
  • English language fluency required
  • Saturday availability required
