About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone
  • Develop and expand new and existing client relationships
  • Provide financial solutions based on consultative conversations
  • Refer clients to other business partners for additional business growth opportunities
  • Perform required teller duties as needed
  • Handle routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines
  • Meet or exceed client service, individual and branch sales targets
  • Conduct consultative conversations and refer complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines
  • Advance sales technique and product knowledge through meetings, training classes and web-based learning
  • Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications
  • Follow internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies
  • Engage clients during transactions, uncover needs, greet clients and help them navigate within the branch

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check
  • Must meet applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness and criminal background standards
  • Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, with occasional travel and overnights possibly included
  • English language fluency required
  • Saturday work required
