About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone
- Develop and expand new and existing client relationships
- Provide financial solutions through consultative conversations and referrals to internal business partners
- Perform required teller duties as needed
- Handle client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services
- Contribute to client service and individual and branch sales targets
- Conduct consultative conversations and refer complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists
- Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines
- Attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning
- Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications
- Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies
- Engage clients courteously during transactions, uncover needs, greet clients, and help them navigate the branch
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2 years of client sales and service experience
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
- Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including applicable NMLS registration and background check requirements
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs, temporary assignments, or locale changes
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included
- Associate’s degree or higher (preferred)
- Experience discussing, recommending, and selling deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer and small business clients (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals (preferred)
- General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures (preferred)
