About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and market Truist Mortgage Loan products within bank policies and procedures
  • Execute mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed mortgage production goals
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Mortgage Strategies, Policies and Procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines used by Truist
  • Comply with Truist policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
  • Provide mortgage clients with advice based on their needs and Truist Mortgage products and benefits
  • Refer mortgage clients to other bank solutions, including qualifying packages of services and insurance products
  • Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up identified through quality control or post-closing review

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year(s) experience in banking and/or lending environment with basic knowledge of residential property types
  • Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration
  • Applicable NMLS acceptable background check
  • Ability to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as directed and required by business need
  • Ability to access and interpret client information from a computer
  • Ability to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • English language fluency required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related studies or equivalent financial sales experience (preferred)
  • Two or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending with solid knowledge of the local market and regulations (preferred)
  • Previous sales awards and leadership positions (preferred)
